For this six-floor office space, the project team at Donnelly engineered custom design for a duct-mounted UVGI system. The application, which helps improve air filtration, was designed and installed within a time frame of three weeks.

Introduction

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the overall outlook on Indoor Air Quality drastically changed. In turn, this upscale fashion brand in New York City’s Financial District wanted to improve the Indoor Air Quality of their corporate headquarters to provide a safe working environment for their employees.

Customer Challenges

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, employees have slowly trickled back into New York City offices. In an effort to improve the office’s air quality, the company’s facility team collaborated with Donnelly Mechanical to optimize the ventilation system and foster a healthy environment for all indoor inhabitants.

Donnelly Mechanical's Response

In order to remediate the issue, Donnelly Mechanical installed a duct-mounted UVGI system on each floor of the office. Designed to disinfect air as it passes through the HVAC system, this application also irradiates the entire cross-section of a duct at high intensities — providing a two-fold solution for this upscale fashion brand’s office building.
