Introduction
A global technology company’s new flagship office will occupy 328,000 square feet in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. The new office space will include portions of the ground floor, second floor, seventh floor, and the entirety of the eighth through tenth floors.
Donnelly Mechanical was hired by L&K Partners to install over 300 Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) units equipped with hot water coils on the 8th and 9th floors of this building.
Scope Review
This comprehensive installation included all necessary ductwork, piping, insulation, controls, balancing, startup, and commissioning to ensure seamless and efficient operation. While DOAS systems offer significant advantages in terms of air quality, energy efficiency, and humidity control, they come with increased complexities during the installation phase including more detailed planning, higher initial costs, and careful integration into the building’s design.
Donnelly Mechanical's Response
Through meticulous planning, expert installation, and rigorous testing, Donnelly’s project team successfully completed the mechanical installation for the 8th and 9th floors. This project stands as a testament to our expertise, our dedication to client satisfaction, and our ability to deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
